Just so I remember what they are and people can bitch at me if I don't hold myself to them.
1. Be nicer to people I don't like. Or at least get better at hiding my animosity.
2. Work harder at my PhD. This one is a bit of a necessity.
3. Learn a new skill. I've narrowed it down to either ballroom dancing, kendo or jujitsu.
4. Limit myself to a maximum of four alcoholic drinks per outing.
And of course,
5. Lose 5kg. Heh, this one never happens.
