Thanks for the welcome!
Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass - an attempt by artists and other people of the area to give the area an unattractive name to stave off gentrification. Apparently it didn't work.
The Brooklyn side - later we found that it was not as crowded as the Manhattan side.
Funny though, me and Spu are usually good for random trivia but neither of us on the day could recall why. Turns out it was the first steel-wire suspension bridge, and one of the oldest suspension bridges in the world.
Those steel wires make for some damn interesting patterns
Completed in 1883, the towers are of neo-gothic design
Views of Manhattan from the bridge
The err...view of Brooklyn from the bridge
Spot the Spuey part 1!

The Manhattan Municipal Building - nice Beaux-Arts architecture.
Spot the Spuey part 2!
