One of the hazards of working with animals is developing allergies to them. I know that I have an allergy to mouse fur. Today I had to handle a number of animals today but for some reason I didn't take any antihistamines with me to uni or wear a mask when handling those squirmy little critters.
So naturally by 12pm my nose and eyes were going haywire. At 12:30, I started wheezing as if I were asthmatic (as described by someone who asked if I were alright). That was a little bit scary and people were saying *geez woman, are you gonna die?*
But at 5:45, I can say that I'm almost back to normal! Time to stock more drugs in my desk, I think!
