Catch me at the X with OG at the Yankee game...

Baseball. Despite having played teen softball as a child (short stop - my throwing arm and reflexes made me unsuitable for any outfield or base positions), watching baseball as a sport on TV is pretty boring. However, Spu wanted to watch the Knicks at Madison Square Garden or the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. However, since the NBA season doesn't kick off until October, we booked out tickets and headed to The Bronx.

Where are we?!

Trying to find our gate.

We were up in the heavens but the view was pretty good in my opinion!

Our match was Yankees vs. Tampa Bay. We arrived at the bottom of the second (Yankees fielded first) and the stadium wasn't full but the atmosphere was pretty good and quite relaxed. Spuey noted that it may have been due to Tampa Bay not being a rival. Things might have been different for a Yankees vs. Red Sox match for example.

Eventually we had to leave and get some food - hot dogs! Also, I believe that was a 'small' soda size - and I think it clocks in around 500ml. There was a souvenir cup that was bloody huge
It also want to make a side note about how impressive the throwing arms were on the guys selling food in the stadiums were. We saw a guy toss bags of nuts with great force and accuracy up the stands. Seriously, really impressive!

The match ended up being really tense. Although the Yankees score a run in the 3rd innings, they let 3 go in the 5th and spent the rest of the match trying to catch up. While it looked as though they might have pulled through, the final score ended up 6-5. Schade.
